Office of Testing Services Coronavirus Response

Effective March 7, 2022

The Testing Center is operating with COVID-19 mitigation measures in place that are aligned with the university’s most current policies. We continue our pre-pandemic practice of offering exams by appointment only. Be sure to regularly check our schedule through your test provider and register early as seat availability is often impacted by demand.

If you are sick or have tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to the testing center. Contact your test provider and reschedule your appointment.

Beginning March 7 face coverings will be optional in most campus indoor locations, including classrooms and other instructional settings. Face coverings will only be mandatory where required by federal and state guidelines — including public transportation, such as AppalCART, and clinical and health care settings.

Although face coverings will no longer be required in most campus spaces, all university community members and visitors are encouraged to continue wearing them indoors, especially in instructional settings such as the Testing Center. If you forget to bring your own mask but prefer to wear one while testing, we can offer you the use of a disposable mask while supplies last.

Testing Center staff continue to regularly wipe down all touch points (e.g. reception chairs, door knobs, lockers) and workstation surfaces (e.g., keyboard, mouse, desktops, computer monitors) with an approved, computer-safe, EPA-registered disinfectant.

Please contact us with any questions you may have about our services by emailing testingsrvcs@appstate.edu or by calling (828) 262-6801.
